  • Daily Stock Ideas – January 07, 2022

    • GameStop (GME) – Shares were up nearly 20% Friday morning following a report from Dow Jones Thursday the company will launch a business unit dedicated to non-fungible tokens and cryptocurrency.
    • Robinhood (HOOD) – A pick by trader, Benzinga friend and CNBC contributor Josh Brown. Brown said Thursday he bought the stock but prefaced “I’m not going to be in this one long so I don’t want anybody to follow me into it.”
    • Digital World Acquisition Corp. (DWAC) – After closing up 20% on Thursday, shares were up another 10% Friday. A Thursday afternoon Reuters report suggested Digital World special purpose acquisition corporation (SPAC) merger partner, Trump Media Group, could launch its social media app in February.
    • China HGS Real Estate (HGSH) – A play on real estate in China. Shares of this low-float issue were up about 30% ahead of the open Friday. Traders may be viewing this stock as a play on a Friday deal by Papa John’s (PZZA) to expand its presence in China by 1,350 stores. The Papa John’s press release did not specifically mention a real estate company it would be working with for the expansion.
    • Urban One (UONE) – Shares saw interest Friday morning following a Thursday report by a local Richmond, Virginia reporter a draft will be resubmitted Monday related to a casino operated by the company.
