- Tilray (TLRY) – Cannabis stocks were at the top of the WallStreetBets most-popular board Wednesday morning. Tilray was the most mentioned ticker on the forum, followed by GameStop (GME) and then two more cannabis names, Aphria (APHA) and Sundial Growers (SNDL).
- Esports Entertainment (GMBL) – Shares have more than doubled over the last two months, with the majority of that upside coming this week. Company CEO, Grant Johnson, made the case for the company’s business at Benzinga’s Small Cap event on Dec. 9, 2020 (to see highlights from that presentation, search ticker “GMBL” and key phrase “BZ Small Cap” in your Benzinga Pro Newsfeed). More recently, when Benzinga reached out this week, Johnson indicated the company hasn’t announced any recent news to justify the move higher but felt the recent move higher has brought the stock to “levels comparable to multiples in our industry.”
- PayPal (PYPL) – Cathie Wood of ARK Invest purchased more than 20,000 shares of PayPal on Tuesday.
- YETI Holdings (YETI) – Will report Q4 earnings before market open on Thursday.
- Kandi Technologies (KNDI) – Shares closed higher Tuesday following a report China’s Ministry of Commerce issued guidelines for promoting auto consumption with heavy emphasis on electric vehicles.
