  • Swing Trade Idea – October 31, 2022

    • Amazon (AMZN) – The multinational giant announced Q3 earnings last Friday and reported a beat with an EPS (earnings per share) of 0.28 over an expected 0.20, and only a very slight revenue miss, but operating income, net income, operating cash flow, and free cash flow all fell in what some analysts called a “disappointment” – the news resulted in a drop in share price with some recovery over the course of the day.
    • Berkshire Hathaway (BRK.A) – Legendary investor Warren Buffet’s own legendary company has not officially confirmed its next earnings date as of time of writing, but going off of last year’s report date watch for release on and around Friday, November 4th.
    • General Electric (GE) – The company’s share price has seen a relatively steady rise of over 26% over the last month at time of writing. The Chicago PMI (a measure of the manufacturing sector in the Chicago region often used to gauge overall US manufacturing sector health) data for October is expected to be released today (Monday, October 31st) and may bring positive or negative color to GE and many other manufacturing tickers.
    • Stryker (SYK) – A medical technologies company with products in much of the medical industry, Stryker is reporting Q3 earnings today with an earnings call at 4:30pm EDT.
    • Selina Hospitality (SLNA) – A momentum and volatility play around a ticker that until only last week was nearly completely flat. The stock saw a massive surge in price on Thursday but lost some of its gains and trended further down on Friday. However, shares were back up this morning by over 20% at time of writing.
