Burlington Stores (BURL) – One of Tuesday’s biggest winners despite a Q3 miss and guidance which was inline with analyst estimates. An analyst at Morgan Stanley Wednesday morning said “strong November month-to-date trends and signs of improved execution provided the green shoots investors were hoping for.”
Ulta Beauty (ULTA) – A play on the beauty and cosmetics space. Ulta will report quarterly results on Thursday of next week.
Hibbett Sports (HIBB) – A play on the sporting goods retail space following strong quarterly results and raised guidance out of DICK’S (DKS) Tuesday. Hibbett will report its results on Tuesday of next week.
Golden Sun Education (GSUN) – A momentum name for Wednesday. Shares of this China-based, US-traded education company were up 26% on seemingly no news. The issue is a low-float name with about 6 million shares in its float.
