Intel (INTC) – Big news in the chip space Monday evening: Berkshire Hathaway’s (BRK/A, BRK/B) Warren Buffett disclosed a $4 billion stake in Intel competitor, Taiwan Semi (TSM). Despite press over the last six months or so which highlighted major investments in US semiconductor infrastructure by the US government, the Oracle of Omaha apparently liked Taiwan Semi as an investment more than a US player like Intel.
Netflix (NFLX) – Analysts at Bank of America restarted coverage on Netflix Tuesday morning with Buy rating and $370 price target. As shares of Netflix traded around $311 Tuesday morning, the firm’s new price target represented potential upside of about 19%.
Best Buy (BBY) – Will report quarterly results on Tuesday of next week. The company historically reports around 6 a.m. ET.
SI-BONE Inc. (SIBN) – A play on a medical device company. SI-BONE is a developer of a minimally invasive surgical implant system for the treatment of lower back pain. An analyst at Needham Monday morning alerted investors a recent pullback in SI-BONE shares created a buying opportunity in the stock.
Pineapple Energy (PEGY) – An ongoing momentum play. Shares of this low-float penny stock were up about 30% Tuesday morning following earnings from the company.
