Pinterest (PINS) – Shares were upgraded to a Buy rating by Goldman Sachs Thursday morning. The firm’s analysts cited the company’s “improved user growth/engagement trends” over the near to medium term.
Enphase Energy (ENPH) – A play on solar. Solar stocks were lower Wednesday following damning commentary about Enphase peer in the solar space, Sunrun (RUN), from a number of bears including short seller Muddy Waters, famed hedge fund manager Jim Chanos and solar analyst Gordon Johnson.
Steel Dynamics (STLD) – The stock was upgraded by Goldman Thursday morning. The firm set a new Buy rating on shares. Steel Dynamics is expected to be one of the first steel companies to report their quarterly results; the earnings should be out in about two weeks.
AST SpaceMobile (ASTS) – A play on satellite-for-mobile-phone purposes. CEO of AST partner, AT&T’s (T) John Stankey, made some favorable commentary related to the prospect for mobile phone usage via satellite late Wednesday.
Fusion Fuel Green (HTOO) – A play on “green hydrogen” technology. Green differs from either grey or blue hydrogen in that the production of hydrogen-based energy is created from renewable electricity versus coal or methane. Shares of this low-float name traded about 20% Thursday morning following news of a contract by Fusion Fuel Green.
