  • Swing Trade Idea – September 2, 2022

    • lululemon athletica (LULU) – Shares were up 10% following better-than-expected quarterly results and, importantly, raised 2022 guidance. Analysts were overwhelming optimistic on lululemon moving forward.
    • Twitter (TWTR) – Notable tech analyst, Gene Munster of Loup Ventures, discussed news out of Twitter to finally allow an edit button for tweets. The feature will be available for users of a premium Twitter service costing about $5 per month. Munster, doing the math on the likely users who will utilize the edit feature, estimated Twitter adding an edit button could boost the company’s 2023 sales by as much as $150 million. Munster said he was hoping the feature would have added more in sales.
    • Kroger (KR) – A gauge of the US consumer. One of the US’s largest grocers, Kroger will report quarterly results on Friday of next week.
    • Western Digital (WDC) – A play on a worsening outlook for the chip storage sector. To end this week, analysts have been warning about concerning data impacting the cloud and data center computing spaces.
    • NIO, Inc. (NIO) – A gauge of the Chinese consumer. NIO is a top-3 manufacturer of electric vehicles in China. The company will report quarterly results on Wednesday next week.
