Amazon.com (AMZN) – Shares traded 3% lower in sympathy following concerning earnings and guidance from FedEx (FDX). FedEx shares traded down more than 20% in pre-market action; shares of peer in the logistics space, UPS (UPS), were down about 6%.
Netflix (NFLX) – Following news earlier this week Netflix released a plan for an ad-supported streaming platform, an analyst at Evercore ISI on Thursday told investors the company’s plan was not yet priced into the stock. The analyst upgraded shares to the equivalent of a buy and said an ad-supported Netflix platform could drive material reacceleration of sales growth for the company.
Coinbase (COIN) – A play on a cryptocurrency exchange.
Lennar (LEN) – A play on housing. This homebuilder will report quarterly results on Wednesday of next week.
China Liberal Education (CLEU) – Friday’s penny-stock, low-float momentum play of the day. Shares of this China-based company were up nearly 20% on no news. The issue has around 11 million shares in its float.
