- Meta Platforms (META) – Shares of Facebook officially began trading as Meta Platforms under ticker “META” as of Thursday.
- Whirlpool (WHR) – A contrarian play on inflation. Appliances are considered to be a durable good — a product that doesn’t depreciate quickly. The US Bureau of Labor Statistics Friday morning said core consumer prices rose 6% on a year-over-year basis, slightly higher than the 5.9% economist estimate.
- Stitch Fix (SFIX) – One of Friday morning’s biggest losers. The stock was down about 30% following news of a Q3 miss and Q4 guidance that was at the lower end of the analyst consensus estimate range. The company also announced it will cut its workforce by 15%.
- Kroger (KR) – Will report quarterly results on Thursday of next week.
- Paltalk (PALT) – Shares of this penny stock were up about 25% following news the company will buy Visicom’s ManyCom assets for about $2.7 million.
