    Today’s 5 Stock Ideas:

    • Alibaba (BABA) – Shares spiked higher Tuesday afternoon following a Bloomberg report that suggested Warren Buffett partner Charlie Munger doubled his stake in Alibaba. Despite the seemingly positive headline, Alibaba shares failed to fill the gap from Monday’s close and closed down nearly 1% Tuesday.
    • Affirm (AFRM) – The stock closed Tuesday’s session down 10% on no news. CNBC contributor Mike Khouw noted some unusual option activity in the name and higlighted “someone is willing to press their bullish bet” and the options market is implying that the stock could spike as much as 28% by February expiration.
    • US Steel (X) – A sympathy play ahead of earnings out of peer in the steel space, Schnitzer Steel (SCHN), on Thursday of this week.
    • Wejo (WEJO) – Shares were up about 15% Wednesday morning following an exclusive Benzinga Pro report the company is developing a neural edge processing platform to streamline connected vehicle data. Wejo will be continuing its partnership with Microsoft (MSFT) to work on the neural edge processing platform.
    • Carlyle Group (CG) – Trader and CNBC contributor Josh Brown on Tuesday said he bought the stock. Brown noted the company is one of the few publicly-traded private equity firms.
