Daily Stock Ideas – December 6, 2021
Today’s 5 Stock Ideas:
- Merck (MRK) – A play on an antiviral pill for COVID. In addition to Pfizer’s (PFE) pill, Merck has also now been approved for an antiviral pill within the US. Expectations are that the antiviral pill treatments could be ready for patients sometime this month.
- Coinbase (COIN) – Crypto stocks will be in focus this week as execs from cryptocurrency-related companies will be testifying in Washington DC on Wednesday.
- BuzzFeed (BZFD) – An IPO for Monday. The company has called itself “the first publicly traded purely digital media company.” Buzzfeed will begin trade on the Nasdaq under symbol “BZFD.”
- XpresSpa (XSPA) – A play on potentially increased COVID testing levels given concerns about the new omicron variant. The company’s XpresTest segment operates wellness centers in airports that provide testing for COVID, flu, strep and other viruses.
- Reata Pharma (RETA) – A play on an upcoming FDA date. On Wednesday, an FDA committee will meet to discuss the company’s New Drug Application for a candidate aimed atslowing the progression of chronic kidney disease caused by Alport syndrome in patients 12 years of age and older.
