Daily Stock Ideas – December 16, 2020
Today’s 5 Stock Ideas:
- Aphria (APHA) – Shares were up 6% in pre-market trade following news of a merger deal between the company and Tilray (TLRY). Tilray shares were up nearly 30% on the merger.
- Ford (F) – Discussed as a long-term position idea by “Hot Stocks Luke” on Benzinga’s mid-day Zinger Nation show. Luke said he likes Ford as a play on electric vehicles.
- Velodyne Lidar (VLDR) – The stock fell Tuesday afternoon following a report Intel’s (INTC) Mobileye unit would be building in-house LIDAR instead of using peer in the LIDAR space, Luminar Technologies (LAZR). Velodyne Lidar shares bounced back Wednesday morning, up about 4%.
- Teladoc (TDOC) – ARK Invest manager, Cathie Wood, was buying shares of Teladoc Wednesday. Teladoc has been considered a play on telehealth and remote doctor appointments.
- PAE (PAE) – A play on COVID-19 testing services for college sports. The company Wednesday announced a contract with American college athletic conference, the SEC, to provide testing services for winter and spring college sports.
